Pre-Production and On-Set Acting Coach

Working with actors begins well before the cameras even roll. Often times, I first meet actors during the callback process. Collaborating with the director and using the script as a guide, I employ a range of methods and exercises from over 20 years as an artist educator. We explore the world of the story and character on the page and beyond. Each exercise is carefully constructed for the individual to best suit their style and ensure an authentic performance. 

On set, I serve as a trusted resource for both the actor and director. Creating an environment of safety for actors and having trusting, open communication are foundational to my work. My process allows actors to remain present and connected to their roles amidst the technical demands and time constraints of the production schedule.

Casting Consulting

I lead and assist in call-backs for feature films and television (We The Animals, Rezball, Origin, Hustle, You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah, and Task). I work closely with directors to understand their vision for the script and individual roles. I then create and facilitate thoughtfully curated sessions based on the vision and script to ensure the creative team has an in-depth understanding of the actors and their potential within the role. has led and assisted call-backs for feature films and television.

Directing

I bring years of directing experience of devised multi-media theatre pieces and have begun to direct film. My first short film, “I Was Here”, starring Raúl Castillo and Jordana Spiro, premiered at San Francisco Film Festival in 2024, and screened at New York International Film Festival, Lady Filmmakers Festival, Croatian International Film Festival (Breakthrough Award), and CineSol Film Festival. I am completing the feature script based on the short. Recently, I co-directed a debut music video, “Look At us Now” and I am also currently in post-production for a short form documentary.

One-on-One Sessions

I work privately with clients to prepare for self-tapes, callbacks and booked roles. I offer a personalized approach to elevate each actor’s craft. By creating an environment for exploration and a connection with each client, actors discover truthful and nuanced performances.

Speaking Engagements and Workshops

My work is guided by the power of stories. Through stories we build create meaningful connections, build bridges and find our common humanity. I am always excited to create dynamic and unique workshops grounded in community building for the needs of a production, organization or business.

I share my vast industry knowledge through curated workshops for both emerging and established professionals. I have worked as an artist-educator for Arts, Letters & Numbers, the NYC Department of Education’s Theatre Program, City College of New York, and Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. I served as an adjunct professor for the Maurice Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at NYU Tisch teaching “Directing the Actor” and also facilitated a master class for the program, “Directing Children and First Time Actors”. I have facilitated pre-production workshops for directors Jeremiah Zagar and Salli Richardson-Whitfield, actors Mark Ruffalo, Emilia Jones, Silvia Dionicio, Tom Pelphrey, Kennedy Moyer, Ben Doherty and Oliver Eisenson to build trust and build a sense of ensemble and community.
